Lion Acrylic Painting Abstract Size:40"x60" while two large dark eyes

while two large dark eyes hold a curious

where the only light comes from above and the bare wood stands stark against the glow

The watercolour technique keeps every edge tender and luminous

the other lifts gently above

ember orange and violet cloud streaming away from the crest

Lion Acrylic Painting Abstract Size:40"x60" while two large dark eyesThis expressive portrait renders a lion's head in a riot of colour, the mane exploding outward in bold strokes of orange, magenta, cobalt blue and sun yellow. Thick palette knife marks and flying flecks of paint give the fur a sense of movement, as though the animal were forming out of pure energy. The face is modelled in warm gold and cool violet, the amber eyes steady and direct beneath a furrowed brow, the muzzle catching a touch of soft white.
