Bamburgh Castle, Summer Evening - Original Painting beach houses With fields full of phacelia

With fields full of phacelia

Seahouses is one of those wonderful places to happily sit and watch the world drift by for hours

the Bamburgh Estate has planted fields of red campion and phacelia as a habitat for pollinating insects and other wildlife

No matter the weather

Because of its very personal “back story” it‘s the only painting I’ve found myself unable to part with- so it hangs in my sitting room

Bamburgh Castle, Summer Evening - Original Painting beach houses With fields full of phaceliaThe ever changing relationship between the tide, sky, weather and light makes Bamburgh Beach one of the most inspiring places on the Northumberland coast. Anchored by the timeless strength of Bamburgh Castle, everything else is in constant motion. Light shifts across the sand, clouds drift overhead and the sea transforms from calm and gentle to wild and dramatic in moments. This painting captures that fleeting sense of light, space and tranquillity.
