Blessed Is The Boogie John Coltrane Away from the Sun

Away from the Sun

heaviness and ferocity a logical step in the development of a band that would later become one of Germany's most important extreme metal exports

an EP that clocks in at 16 minutes and sounds leaner

with every snatch of melody and earworm chorus remaining delightfully unexpected

is a must-listen for jazz fans

Blessed Is The Boogie John Coltrane Away from the SunDatura4 combines garage, power pop, muddy blues, and trippy elements while maintaining their own unique sound with inspiration from John Lee Hooker and other boogie masters. "Not For Me" and "Cat on a Roof" showcase the band's compositional ambitions, while "City of Lights" incorporates Mariani's power pop background. The result is a seamless blend of fuzzy rock, psychedelia, and blues.
