The teal foliage pairs naturally with deep greens

each petal brushed with a deeper rose at its heart

Three parrots perch in a row along a sturdy branch

There is a quiet sense of retreat here

The receding ridges fade gently into the distance

Field of Red Poppies Painting Size:24"x16" The teal foliage pairs naturallyA blaze of vivid red poppies fills the foreground here, their open petals and dark centres painted large and close before thinning into a sunlit meadow beyond. Slender green stems and buds rise between the blooms, while the middle distance softens into golden grasses and a low ridge of trees under a bright sky brushed with white cloud. The light feels high and clear, the kind of midday glow that makes the reds almost glow against fresh green.
