Hydrangea Flower Painting Monet monochrome or warmly furnished rooms

monochrome or warmly furnished rooms alike

the soft falls touched with golden-bronze beards that draw the eye to their velvety hearts

unhurried calm that captures the hush of dusk in the wild

This delicate watercolour distils a quiet shoreline into the gentlest of washes

instinct and the wild north into a single commanding image

Hydrangea Flower Painting Monet monochrome or warmly furnished roomsThis bright, painterly image presents a full hydrangea bush in flower, its rounded heads clustered in tender pink, lilac and powder blue with buttery yellow centres. Sturdy green leaves with clearly drawn veins cradle the blooms in the foreground, while behind them a soft focus garden glows with more colour and warm light. The petals are rendered with a slightly idealised, almost illustrative finish, giving the scene a cheerful, storybook freshness.
