Yellow Bush Printmaking I’ve been spending some time

I’ve been spending some time developing a unique expression of this extraordinary place

it was loved too much

The original fox tail bone was moulded to preserve all the fine details of the bones

to the songs falling from the clouds

By pooling diluted pigments onto canvas and gently coaxing them with air and brushwork

Yellow Bush Printmaking I’ve been spending some timeThe Yellow Bush is an Australian alpine plant that grows in the harsh environment at the summit of kunanyi Mt Wellington in Tasmania. The sharp needle like leaves glow yellow against the blue sky a bright statement across the landscape. In the summer, it bears small white flowers. It isnt a well known or highly prized plant, but for me its such an important element in how I see the summit landscape and I wanted to honour that with this linocut.
