Deep Teal Sardine Shoal Painting Frame:Artwork on frame almost ethereal stillness

almost ethereal stillness

doubling the moon's golden reflection on the dark water

or above a console in a corridor where passing light can play across the gold

The vivid greens and clear sky-blue sharpen a room built on grey

a pale turquoise sky carries plump cumulus clouds

Deep Teal Sardine Shoal Painting Frame:Artwork on frame almost ethereal stillnessThis atmospheric painting draws a school of sardines drifting through deep, near black teal water, their silvered bodies catching glints of bronze and warm ochre amid the shadows. Painted in a wide horizontal format, the fish glide sideways in loose formation, scratched highlights and dry brushed scales giving each one a tactile, weathered sheen. The dark, brooding background pushes the pale fish forward, so they seem to hover and shimmer in the gloom
