The Positive and the Negative Infinity Cat Recordings but I’ve admired his workMinoru Muraoka's 'The Positive and the Negative' blends shakuhachi flute with breakbeat jazz and Japanese folk traditions. This 7" features the original 1970 track alongside Surprise Chef's reinterpretation, which swaps traditional instruments for synths and guitars while preserving the psychedelic breakbeat essence. A cult favourite championed by DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist, now reimagined by Melbourne's Surprise Chef in their signature style.
