The I6  is useful for connecting timbers end to end or as straps that overlap timbers on any face

you will need two of any style of our brackets to match the tie rod assembly you create here

and two custom-length 3/4" rods that all thread together into one strong assembly

If you use an N plate at the top of the truss you will probably use a U plate on the bottom of the truss
