Miles Davis – 'Round About Midnight (Mobile Fidelity LP Vinyl) artist-lukas-nelson you can take the onesReleased in 1957, 'Round About Midnight marked Miles Davis arriving at Columbia with something to prove, fresh off his electrifying 1955 Newport Jazz Festival performance that had reminded the world exactly where he stood. The rhythm section here, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones, was as tight a unit as jazz had produced, and hearing them alongside a young Coltrane still finding his voice makes this document genuinely irreplaceable.
