Grapes Oil Painting Size:24"x16" cream and pale oakPainted in a classical still life manner, this composition rests a generous bunch of grapes on a dark, shadowy ground, their dusky purple skins catching a gentle glow. Broad vine leaves in muted greens fan out behind and beneath the fruit, while a curling tendril and woody stem trail off to the side. The deep, almost black background pushes the fruit and foliage forward, lending the scene a quiet, museum like gravity. Soft brushwork and warm lowlights
