MEMORY BASIN OF ABSENCE in dialogue with Doris Salcedo ConceptualDesign Rather than presenting the fragmentWearable Sculpture Post Colonial Gold This wearable sculpture takes the form of a basin: an open hollow held within a dark, sculptural ring. Rather than concentrating value in material, the object centers itself around absence. The hollow becomes a space for memory a reminder that history does not disappear but remains embedded in matter and collective consciousness. The thin gold line along the rim does not decorate the object; it marks the fragile
