Ruine Neideck Mat:No Matting 2010 and GT22CU-3 2402 climbDescription: Neideck is a castle ruin in the Wiesenttal in Franconian Switzerland. It is located on a rocky outcrop above the village of Streitberg and offers an impressive view of the valley. The castle was probably built in the 12th century by the counts of Andechs Meranien and was later owned by various noble families. In the year 1523 it was destroyed by the peasants in the Peasants' War and then fell into disrepair.
