this residue of memory that lingers

from rap-metal and indie rock to Fugazi and Rage Against the Machine

the album boasts all of the elements of BCBC’s sound: big guitars

ska and hardcore in the vein of Operation Ivy

Milestones melbourne this residue of memory thatThe depth of blues on Miles Davis' only album with his original sextet is evident. "Milestones," introducing modalism to jazz, is its only modal selection. The rest are varying blues tunes, including "Dr. Jackle" with Davis' muscular trumpet tone, and "Sid's Ahead" and "Two Bass Hit," with saxophone choruses and piano solos. Monk's "Straight, No Chaser" closes the album, becoming a signature tune for the sextet going forward.
