Stairwell Looking Up sorachi every surface coated in greaseLooking up through the stairwell of the Braidwood Hotel, timber joists, beams and stair stringers frame a central void that rises toward a bright window at the top. The staircase serves the upper accommodation levels of a building that has operated continuously since 1859, when it was built during the Gold Rush expansion of Wallace Street. Part of the Braidwood Hotel series.
