Basement Steps lamp shades A timber cottage sits atBlue painted dados run the length of a wide lower floor, interrupted by concrete columns, a heavy panelled door, and barred sash windows receding into the ward beyond. This corridor sits within the novitiate building of the Lewisham Hospital complex, operated by the Little Company of Mary from 1889 until 1986. Dead fluorescent fittings hang from the ceiling above carpet worn flat by decades of foot traffic. Part of the Lewisham Hospital series.
