Cornflower Blue Bottle Vase SummerExhibition2025 with a real slap inLucy Burley's ceramic vessels are thrown on the wheel using white earthenware clay, and then glazed with a smooth semi matt earthenware glaze of her own formulation to give an eggshell texture in a wide palette of colours. Inspired by the still life paintings of Morandi, and by the colours of the sky, the seashore, precious stones, plants and trees, Lucy's gorgeous colour palette is simply stunning.
