Bentwood armchair model A63-F, design Josef Frank for Thonet, 1930s, Austria Tafellampen Side Table: Width 47 cmBentwood armchair model A63 F, designed by the Viennese architect Josef Frank (1885 1967) for Thonet, 1930s, Austria. The A63 F lounge chair belongs to a group of bentwood chairs that Josef Frank designed for Thinet around 1929, electing to use the solid beech rods with a round cross section traditionally used for bentwood furniture. A single bentwood element forms the back legs and backrest frame, while two others provide the front legs and armrests.
