They played in the Appalachian League from 193742 and the Mountain States League from 194850, both Class D circuits serving small towns in Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Like other Tennessee teams in the league, the Canners struggled with low attendance and financial difficulties despite the leagues overall success.
