Weingut Ziereisen 'Heugumber' Gutedel 2022 Valais The color is vivid but

The color is vivid but not dense

it sees a mere 10% new barrels

there has to be proper acidity to marry to the advanced ripeness and the grapes must be completely free of disease and/or rot

this wine—effectively a “baby Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo”—offers immense charm and ease of use

Pelan was recently purchased by the Amoreau family

Weingut Ziereisen 'Heugumber' Gutedel 2022 Valais The color is vivid but"Ziereisen's 2022 Heugumber is intense in color and displays fully ripe and dense aromas of yellow fruit intermingled with yeasty and limestone nuances on the remarkably complex nose that clearly represents another warm vintage yet keeps its focus. Very elegant and saline on the palate, this well balanced Chasselas (Gutedel) is long and structured and reveals stimulating citric fruit and fine grip on the aromatic and stimulating finish. 10. 5% stated
