Vignobles Levet Cote-Rotie 2021 Size:750ml Cinsault and Carignan

Cinsault and Carignan

Gasq prefers to pick Carignan on the early side of its maturity to preserve its vibrant natural acidity and avoid making a wine that is overly alcoholic

some of which were planted over 80 years ago

it displays the broad-shouldered character and rich body typical of the seldom-encountered white wines of the Côte de Nuits

these Chenin vines give fruit dominated by aromas and flavors of quince

Vignobles Levet Cote-Rotie 2021 Size:750ml Cinsault and CarignanComprised of vines from throughout the familys holdings, Levets basic Cte Rtie spends two years in 600 liter barrels, less than 10% of which are new. The primary vineyard sources are Les Craies and Mollard in Cte Blonde, with younger vines from Moulin and Fontgent in Cte Brune. Agns used only 20% stems in the vinification of this cuve in 2021 given the relative lightness of the vintage, and the finished wine is a super classic pre climate change
