The embroidery and cotton applique work appear to be done by hand

You can clearly see this is the case on the back side of the fabric

I have had several variations of this corduroy coat from the Rive Gauche version of the famous Russian collection from the Fall/Winter of 1976-1977 and this is one of my favorites by far

On one side of the neckline sits a pretty fabric flower in the exact same shade
