1970s Yves Saint Lauent Silk Ruffle Print Top Guest Editor Anita Clarke! † He often used touches

† He often used touches of exoticism against black sleek pieces and this belt is a fantastic example of his work

It closes with a front painted metal zipper from the waist down that is hidden under the green detailing

Andre Courreges pushed the envelope when it came to design and even amongst the many pieces of Courreges I have seen this is a stand out

The straps criss cross and each cup is molded and padded for maximum effect

Each cuff has three buttons to close - one is missing on the left cuff

It is really quite fabulous and has an almost swashbuckling feel to it with its ruffled collar and loose and easy cut. The tie can be wrapped around the neck or waist and is classic Yves. I love the tiny floral print worked into the silk itself and how each cuff buttons at the wrist so you get a bit of a pouf over the wrist. Made of a gorgeous, fine grade silk and the label is hand written
