An artist, composer, poet, editor, photographer, curator and gallerist, Mesens introduced the Surrealist movement to the United Kingdom and with his strong relationships with Erik Satie, Theo van Doesburg, Tristan Zsara and other artists, was a driving force of the movement. His own collages and artworks certainly held their own amongst his contemporaries. This stunning
