It is unusual to find a piece in this color and its a wonderful example of her work

I do not know if that is deliberate (hand made pieces from this time period often had built in "flaws" perfection was something frowned upon as one was not to strive to be more perfect then god) All the threads seem to match so I suspect its either a natural wear from time or was deliberate

Those sleeves are the star of the show on this dress and they are incredible

The overlay is a machine lace in a azure blue tone with gold colored threading running through and highlighting each "fan" design
