The top of the inner dress is made of a silk organza and this runs inside the skirt to the knee

Gold and purple metallic braiding is set in panels along the edges of the front and on each cuff with rhinestones scattered through that design for a little bit of glitz

Early 1970s Lanvin by Jules-Francois Crahay Demi-Couture Printed Red Silk Skirt w Green & Lace Edging archive Pintucks run up the bodiceThis stunning skirt was designed by Belgian born Jules Francois Crahay, who headed the Lanvin ateliers from 1964 1984. He has been noted as one of fashions 'great colorists with his colorful patterns making his 1970s Lanvin designs hugely desirable and influential.' His time at the Lanvin label is one of my personal favourites for the house. I especially love the his work during the period through the late sixties and into the early 1970s. He was a
